I think there's really something to be said about how Testuya Nomura's storytelling gets perceived in the west. Like it's true that he loves maximalist, mechanical storytelling, but he's also this huge fan of visual/symbolic storytelling, & that stuff gets overlooked again and again. like this OWNS:
