A lot of the floods don't happen on the new estate, the water runs to other areas and flood places previously not prone to flooding. Did you read what I originally said?
The answer is proper environmental surveying, and property developers investing in suitable bespoke contingency planning
Well you didn't answer it because you banged on about people buying a house on some where they most likely didnt know might be a flood plain, when I pointed that the water runs off elsewhere, sometimes to older properties that have no history of flooding.
I said take responsibility. I'm not sure that constitutes 'banging on'. If you're concerned about flooding then I'm not the one to talk to. Speak to the planners. In the meantime don't buy houses on flood planes or places that may cause flooding elsewhere.
