i think i tried to estimate how long the video would be and came up with a time that was a lot shorter than i expected. when i finish the chapter i might record myself reading the video out loud to see how long it would actually be, then go back and put that time in
i've done a lot of editing as i go this chapter so the exact length of vikki's video has changed from what it would have been based on my original script
Most people speak conversational English at about 150 words per minute, but audio/video presenters tend to get up toward the 160 range, especially if they're new, nervous, or just have a zippy editing style. Transitions, bumpers, intros, etc. usually don't account for more than a few seconds each.
