Really? I would have thought Marble Garden Zone or Lava Reef Zone since they aren't so memorable. As a mechanic, I would've said the cylinders in Carnival Night Zone, since that got a bunch of folks stuck without too much explanation.

I actually really love all of those zones you’ve listed. 😛 Although I did have issues with those Carnival Night Zone barrels as a kid…
Sandopolis Zone is just kind of a slog, even if you know exactly what to do.

To be fair, Sonic 3 & Knuckles has a sttong roster of zones so it's all preference lol

Now the question is which had the best music? Flying Battery Zone is such a banger for me

Flying Battery Zone is SO good! Definitely one of my favorites.
My top favorite would probably be Ice Cap Zone (from the original and not PC/Origins versions haha). It’s super repetitive, but I just love that melody so much!
My other favorite is Sky Sanctuary Zone.

sonic adventure 2, the entirity of the final rush stage, i always needed my brother to play through it for me.

it’s so difficult & convuluted, and i hate that you can’t access sonic’s mystic melody without going out of your way for it in that level.

Yeah, that’s a good one to bring up. Those gave me quite the trouble as a little kid.
