I was super-picky - would go in and view a starter pack and maybe follow the two or three from that category I’d previously been following in the other place - but I never just followed a whole list. Although I did with 3 blocklists where I trusted the maker.

Bluesky moderation tools are our friend! I've been able to filter a lot of it out. Exception right now being people posting screenshots. Would love some OCR to get those moderated as well.

I want to come here to escape. I can drown in angst somewhere else if I really want that...

It just doesn’t hit the same a second time. First time I was horrendously depressed about it all and looking after a tiny baby. I just haven’t the energy to get excited about him as much this time. I think it just underlined the need for me to plough my own furrow and do meaningful acts.
