The retelling of hero’s and their worlds is welcomed in its current form so I don’t know why a DCU is needed. Even MCU is struggling to keep people interested in as its phases are losing viewers as they change over.

That's why DCU Will never work, they keep recasting when is very clear that what is not working is the people behind the material (the directors, writters and VFX) Henry Cavill was great, Gal, Jason, Zachary, Robert did amazing, the problem is the Ego of everyone else behind at Warner, not the cast.

It’s not a recast. It was never the plan to include Robert Pattinson’s Batman or Matt Reeves batverse into the DCEU. They are completely separate. James Gunn’s DCEU doesn’t have a Batman. They need one

This was confirmed a long time ago? Pattinson has not been recasted and Matt Reeve’s trilogy will still continue on, they want a new batman to introduce more fantastical elements rather than using a character already set in a grounded world.

Honestly, good. Robert's Batman fits within the context of Matt Reeves' universe, but no need to squeeze it into the DCU. Could they keep the same actor, sure. But I'd imagine that they may want an actor who's a tad older considering that DCU Bruce is already at Damian as Robin.

Think about it, Bruce in the DCU would have already adopted at least 4 kids (maybe 5 depending on if/when they slot in Duke) before we even consider Damian's existence being discovered. Robert's Bruce hasn't even adopted Dick yet. That's a pretty large amount of time to skip through.
