Monster Hunter Wilds has enjoyed a huge launch, with nearly 1 million concurrent players on Steam. It's now ahead of the likes of Elden Ring, Hogwarts Legacy, and Baldur’s Gate 3 on Steam's all-time peak concurrent users list. https://bit.ly/4bir9aP

The only people complaining are people with old computers. Why do you expect that a brand new game with state of the arts graphics to run without issues on your potato?
I want to try it, but it really seems like once you have played one monster hunter game, you have played them all. I don't know why I would want to grind it all again.
I find that an odd take. That's like saying "I played one pokemon game, I don't see why anyone would want to play another one" when there is a new region to explore, new monsters to interact with and there are enough tweaks to the gameplay loop to keep it fresh but still familiar.
It's a PC that is always going to be the issue. Any PC gamer should know that and expect that at this point. Don't buy it at launch, and wait a few week for them to fix stuff.
I completely agree with you when it comes to consoles. But with the numerous different combinations of PC builds, that is a ridiculous expectation. I have a very high power rig, with an MSI GeForce 3090 TI, MSI mother board, top of the line I9, and 64gb of Ram, and it runs perfectly for me...

Imagine ordering a pizza and then be told "don't worry, the mozzarella will come soon, maybe, idk"
And yet one that INDIE devs can do. Clearly it's not as big an ask as people think if some games do it perfectly fine.
