Would a 9 year old be able to go (with his mum who will also be taking part)?

With kids that age I prefer they work with kids of a similar age. It's all to do with the setup and things.
I will be offering under 16s workshops once the weather hopefully picks up a bit. For those workshops, parents can come along as thier kids assistant without a ticket

No problem at all. They're planning on painting a mural on his wall in the coming months (he's a big Green Day fan) so will keep an eye out :)
