At all times I remember that it is super likely the person that says “I’m praying for you” in the US also voted for the candidate least likely to take action on GV prevention. Less likely to show compassion towards survivors.

And while I love Jesus … I am braced among the faithful.

Important to note here- the marked difference in voting practices of white evangelicals in the US vs those outside of it. Especially those steeped in rich tradition of social justice like so much of the work of predominantly Black churches.
