this is awful behavior- no way they didnβt know that roost was there. DYK we have a great community of bats here in Sacramento? There is a famous roost of Mexican fee tail bats on the Yolo causeway that provides amazing seasonal βshowsβ and some lesser known ones in crevices of downtown buildings
When I was a kid my brother found an injured bat near the high school and brought it home and nursed it back to health. We built this huge metal cage for it and it would hang upside down. Once it was able to hunt and catch (π₯Ίπ€), we released it. π¦
Several had posted in the rafters of the bar late wife and I had in Tanzania. We had to expell them as locals are superstitious and would abandon drinking at our establishment. I personally welcome their mosquito eating superpowers
We had a huge fireplace when I was little. One evening I noticed my stuffed animal had fallen next to the sofa. Without looking, I reached down to pick it up and found a BAT sleeping on top of it. The way my parents shrieked and ran around like lunatics with a broom...ππ±
