I've been thinking about how much I hate Commander Damage in Magic, and how some people love it and love building around it and I have a solution I think would be cool.
Imagine a set of cards that you can start the game with to power you up or modify the game. Kind of like Conspiracy cards. 1/4 π

Let me play without Commander Damage, and let people who want it pay for it with the opportunity cost of not using something else!

Cool conspiracy ideas though!
can still gain life, but not in the thousends and stuff.
balancing would be interesting, but as a starting idea really cool.
would also help decks get some other boon, when they dont need commander damage with their deck.
