It will be pretty unlucky. Considering that earth is 71% water, my bet is it will crash into the oceans. It’s already pretty unlucky that it would hit earth with all this empty space in the universe.
Potentially 10 times the size of the explosion from the Hunga Tonga volcano. If this is a simulation, it'll hit somewhere hilariously karmic.
An ocean hit could result in a huge tsunami and steam cloud.
Not unless it's already ready to blow. With the Yellowstone hotspot, it's all about pressure built under the rhyolite cap. In fact, it could just harmlessly release a small eruption, thus delaying the next cycle. And by then, the hotspot would've moved away towards ND.
we're already fracking just 90mi south of the yellowstone caldera. ask the people of wichita if they remember a time when they never got earthquakes... hint: it was before there was fracking in the kansas-oklahoma oil patch. i'm terrified of the geological implications of fracking @ supervolcanoes
the planet will be fine, had that already a few times.
when yellowstone goes south, then mankind will have a problem.
it will be VERY cold.
perhabs the weather to cool all those Nazis down and start to think (or extinct)
