Today is the feast of All Franciscan Saints, coinciding with the anniversary of the approval of the Rule of the Friars Minor. It's a day I miss praying in Italian, for the 'svariata fioritura' of seraphic holiness in the collect and the 'phalanx of virgins' in the Benedictus antiphon.
