Because intellectual integrity (not saying political integrity) is all we have. You cannot in good faith, and by staying true to the fundamental principles of our profession, make such sweeping generalizations. This is a betrayal of our scholarly integrity and I am ashamed.

It's become the norm, unfortunately. Anyone who questions - however carefully, respectfully, and rationally - one of the sacred cows is labelled phobic, a "hater", and mobbed (or blocked, if she's lucky). You're being brave to post this, to be honest.
