If you feel as if you "Know" a thing you do not, our minds are fragments of a whole not inclusive, you contribute in all phases of life and death until the stillness of the Universal silence. Therefore you can never truly know a thing just be familiar.
René Descartes 1596–1650
French philosopher and mathematician

Religious Bigots. Who believe that the version of a religion they were brainwashed into. Since they were conceived. Is the absolute truth. And every other religion. And science. Is a lie
The United States individuals who are of the delusion that the USA is some great nation. And the greatest nation on Planet Earth. When most of Planet Earth believes that the USA is a running joke. Or just shakes their head. And states 'only in America' Or will celebrate when Putin pushes the button
Unfortunately, everyone throughout history has been super wrong about reality, but we have to do the best with what we can. So, I think comparative ignorance is the only enemy here we can combat.
Many very wealthy people think they are knowledgeable about things outside of their area of expertise when they actually know nothing. this is what makes them dangerous. They have the money, the power and often complete ignorance.
Stephen Hawking DID NOT say that. Look into it out you can watch this video when it is mentioned to make this exact point. https://youtu.be/PDsyEDjpfyI
That is why I've chosen to call AI not artificial intelligence but SI, SIMULATED intelligence. We live in the age of the imaginary--imaginary money like Bitcoin, imaginary politicians...
Like the knowledge that this quote is actually from Hawking? When I see a quote attributed to Einstein, Hawking, or Buddha Gautama, I am compelled to fact-check the attribution.
I fail to understand the difference between ignorance and the "illusion of knowledge". As if every ignorant person doesn't believe delusionally that they already are informed and knowledgeable.
Sort of reminds me of the Mark Twain quote at the the beginning of The Big Short. “It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so.”
“ The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge” was a quote said by DANIEL BOORSTIN but, it was closely related to the life of STEPHEN HAWKING
All good, though.
Donald Trump’s second term will be as damaging as the pandemic was for knowledge sharing:
We will see an emphasis on controlling information to fit political narratives, at the cost of suppressing scientific progress, intellectual growth, and public access to unbiased education.

He’s so right
Is the thing about truly dumb people is that they don’t even truly understand how dumb they really are?
Every single maga mongrel should have that saying carved into their foreheads.

I can’t remember which of the classical Stoics said this, but he was talking about Nero.

The loudest voice is not always the correct one; in fact, it's often not.
It's what you know for sure that just ain't so. - Mark Twain
But when you mix in being spoiled?
Then we got issues.

All good, though.
MAGA in a nutshell.
We will see an emphasis on controlling information to fit political narratives, at the cost of suppressing scientific progress, intellectual growth, and public access to unbiased education.
Our Representatives in the Congress do appear to be in it only for themselves.
Far more than for We The People. They are the ones who
swore in the Constitution to Serve and Protect. They do seem to have forgotten.
To me It seems to be much like the late 1700's again.
