I now follow a number of world building channels on YouTube and I find them very enjoyable. Sawyer Lee and Tales of Kaimere are both really quite excellent. Even Templin Insitute gaming channel spawned some excellent lore

If we think about real world situations, one example I use today was why Chinese and European cultures develop simultaneously, but Europeans were driven to colonize and explore while China remained capable but uninterested.

Also tons of other good examples on how different cultures develop in response to their environments, but how you also get convergence such as the building of pyramids on multiple continents because pyramids are an easy shape to build, but they’re also truly distinct

Yes, i concurr. in games I think Mass Effect thinks through the implications of their technology. , I think Arcane makes a wonderful job of thinking of the implications of hextech and the relationships between the city and the access to both knowledge and technology affect the characters
