From having this discussion at the university level:

- Mobile phones look unprofessional
- Webcam impacts frame count
- The capture method (VDO/Discord) affects internet
- It only looks good if all 6 players have it
- Players are expected to front the cost to make this possible

I'm talking about professional Rocket League players. If you earn a salary for playing, you can accomodate a video stream. Professionalism is more than just showing up for your match.

If BLAST and Epic expect salaried players to have them, they need to go through the organisations to send that message.

Demonising players for not spending personal money on work equipment is backwards.

If Epic and BLAST see value in this and want to impose fines they need to make it viable for orgs to get involved who can then provide the technologies/bootcamps to make it possible.
