Me as a DM: "I can't think of anything I need to do more for next session. Should be smooth sailing"
>game day
>Remembers I need to write out more NPC sheets + the areas lore
>NOW WANTS TO MAKE MORE NPCS ON TOP OF THAT
Thank GOD my players are in the west coast so I can do last minute prep lol

Improv as a player is easy but doing it as a DM is still very intimidating for me
In the last session I ran, I forgot one of the maps I made had a strange detail that I'd intended to be a puzzle door - but I never wrote the puzzle because I'd been so busy peppering the rest of this mini dungeon with lore drops. I just improv'd a trap lol
Honestly sounds like something I'll totally do lmao. Glad I have very patience and forgiving players.
Funny enough, they are all forever DMs so they're just hand holding me as a first timer haha
Even as a more seasoned DM I've found you'll always forget something :P but when you and your players are having a blast you know you're doing something right!
