Deep down I'm pretty certain it's actually how the universe works. I never get sad about loved ones passing because I know they're still there in the past and we'll meet again next time 'round.

Your countryman Yeats' esoteric "gyre" idea (he had a bunch of magicsl by way of Golden Dawn elements to it that go way beyond the poem) was, in essence, a similar winding and unwinding of history. And cyclical patterns pop up all over the place in other philosophies & religions/esotericisms. 1/2

2/2 I'm getting a bit Junji Ito "Uzumaki" here, but the prevalence of these spirals makes me wonder if this is a hell world I can never escape. Or perhaps the spiraling will eventually bring me back to a better, natural eternal cycle like with the mycelium. I can only hope it is the good version.
