This version of Sonic is specifically game/IDW Sonic. He has NO knowledge of Sally, or any other freedom fighter- and he's an only child.
That being said, it would be funny as hell to see a Sally try and interact with a bewildered Sonic, so go right ahead if you wanna.
The chaos energy he's absorbed from extended use of rings and the Chaos Emeralds usually lays dormant. However, bring enough rage out, and it will corrupt him- turning him dark.
