I have previously expressed thoughts which are "it's not helpful to use such weighting anymore" but that has absolutely zero relevance to this situation and asking it in response absolutely looks like dull whataboutery.

Thanks for your reply. I'm interested in why the 2014 weighting is problematic. Is it because it's exaggerating the elderly No vote, as alluded to in this exchange? BTW, I don't have an opinion on the Find Out Now issue, and certainly not trying to engage in whataboutery.
It's a problem because it aims to recreate a population that no longer exists. Amongst people who voted in 2014, they will no longer represent 45:55 because, aye, older voters then have since died and were more likely to be No. Doesn't mean a majority Yes in remaining pool; but it could.

Weighting has some relevance if the discussion concerns polling manipulation.
I only asked for your thoughts on weighting, to jump to "whataboutery" is a tad defensive.
