What we need to do isn’t the economic damage — frankly we can’t do enough damage for that to have much effect at this level of organization — but rather to get as much participation as possible. The more participation we get, the scarier it is for them. And… 1/2
Think of this as like a picket before a strike. If you get enough numbers on an “informational picket” you are in a stronger position to strike — and they know it.
The most important thing right now is to get as many people as possible. Don’t put obstacles in their way. Bring ‘em in! 2/2
One day will absolutely get their attention.
Some argue that the corps will still get there money. People will buy the day after or before, but there will be people who wait a day and realize, they don’t really need it, and not purchase.
One day this time, three days next
Impact of National Strike—played around on chatgpt & got this. First 3 pics are 3 versions of the question I asked. The final pic is a partial chatgpt reply to Ask v3. chatgpt is not taking the current environment into account, but it’s still an interesting break from doomscrolling. Try it.✌🏾
One day of success will lead to 2. 2 will lead to 4. Those corporations have significant daily overhead. Eventually, it will make an impact. If you want to know how vulnerable they are, look at Bed, Bath and Beyond, Radio Shack, and Toys r’us - here today, gone tomorrow.
Economic Blackout is a great idea. Withhold the only thing that moves the needle in this political system - your dollars. They can threaten street protesters with arrests and even Martial law, but they can’t force you to spend.
I'm going to go from Monday Feb. 24th for as long as I can without purchasing anything. I expect to make it about two weeks and then hit the nearby coops to grab more veggies, hoping the balcony hydroponics system takes so i can cut off even more in the future.

I have a dumb question. Does this blackout include Trader Joe’s? I have no intention of going to Walmart, target Macy’s none of them except Trader Joe’s that day. My doctor’s office is right next to a nice Trader Joe’s.
This could be a great statement and it might sting small businesses a bit. Nothing will gain more attention that people in the streets and not working. The numbers have to be George Floyd, million man march in size to just take the breath away from these monsters. it’s better than nothing though.
The problem with such blackouts is it is only an extremely short 'glitch' in the statisitics, quickly recovered.
People still need to buy; whether that is groceries, fuel or other consumables. Yes, they are likely not to go the day of the blackout, but they then have to go in the days that follow.

We have so much more power than we can imagine!

Why do you think 4th Q financials tanked & inflation rose in January...those of us who refuse spending aside of necessities.
No Women On Wednesday (? Not sure if that is the official title, so correct me if you know!)
On Weds, women call out from work.
If that is not possible, do not shop/spend on Weds.
🇦🇺 Australian here who will be joining the inaction.
