Except Trump is actively trying to destroy federal govt so we have to wonder if they want to have a shutdown to help do that. As long as the blame is on Dems, which it would be, I think they'd be happy to shut it down. So Dems have ZERO leverage. It's a trap to put Dem fingerprints on murder weapon.

This is Schumer's logic, and I disagree with it completely.

For it to make sense, you have to believe that Trump/Republicans are *unhappy* that they're about to pass this CR that they wrote themselves with 0 input from or concessions to Dem & that will allow them to continue what they've been doing
