If, like me, you are a white woman, KAREN HARD. Ask why they are detaining her. Who they are from. Why they are not in uniform. What is their name and badge number. Manager/commanding officer's name. Under what power. Demand to speak to superior officer. Threaten press and lawyers. Obstruct.
Look for training videos that detail how to be a witness & not get in trouble yourself. It is legal to video record on your phone, but do not interfere. Let the officers know that you are a community member. Only share the video with the arrestees family & lawyer not social media. I did a training.
You can publically identify officers. They do not have a right to privacy when performing their actions. The only people with privacy protections falls to who is being arrested. Get names and badge numbers and make it known who they are doing this.
Yes, all that too…make notes in writing of details- # of agents, type of vehicle used, exact time, badge/uniform. ACLU might have videos or more on their website.
