Honestly I don’t get the universally “nice” Canadian trope. I am an Australian/Canadian with half my life lived in each country. Canadians are a lot like Australians. They run the full gamut of human strengths and flaws; universally nice, no. Just try driving in Vancouver, you’ll see.

I Don't think it's so much about being universally nice, it's more about being nice and generally polite until it's time not to,remove the offending party and go back to being nice. Not going out of our way to be assholes does help, although we have our fair share (Maple MAGA and the Flu Trux Klan)
