One of the things that is wild to me is that just a few years ago we PROVED that flu is containable with basic biosecurity measures and that massive yearly case peaks aren't inevitable.

During the pandemic people were at least a little more hygienic, and in our store we forced clean hands via hand sanitiser on entry, can’t force that now tho :/ so we all get flu every year!
But we can't have any of that because it is too boring for rich middle aged men and geriatrics.
