Just because I might not be able to buy a BC wine or beer here in Ontario doesn't mean I can't easily buy a Canadian wine or beer. What's important is that I'm not buying a U.S. wine or beer. Hell, I have a bunch of Innes & Gunn beers in the fridge. They're not Canadian, but I'm okay with that.
"Isn't this paper American owned? Bit of self-preservation maybe?"
You're thinking of the National Post, which is foreign owned by Postmedia. The Globe & Mail is owned by The Woodbridge Company, controlled by the Thompsons. Both support right wing views, although NP is horrifying.
Sorry I thought it had changed hands, but it's still a pretty right wing paper. I used to enjoy the Globe, but it, me and times have changed. Unfortunately.
This headline is unnecessarily negative. The bottom line according to your own article is that the provinces are looking to facilitate inter-provincial trade! Sorry that you have such cannot enjoy BC wines, though...
The rest of us are going to do our best to read labels and BUY CANADIAN!!!!!
