As always, every time someone says "I vet everyone I follow" I go and look at their list of accounts they follow and see how long it takes me to find 10 blatant spam, scam, disinformation, or other inauthentic accounts just from the following list, no investigation, if I'm in doubt I don't count it.

You're lucky! It took me going through 234 accounts to get to the magic 10! Of course it was because the section I was in, you'd followed a starter pack of the full 150 accounts in the middle. And one of the accounts in the starter pack was an impersonation and not the actual Representative.

So assume 10 out of every 250 is fake. That's 1 in 25. Now of those 20K followers, that suggests around 800 bad actors? Plus however many more those 20K repost.

I don't understand why I was added to this list. Is it based on the # of followers or on the # I'm following, neither of which clarifies why I got added to it.

Got told I was on this list. I’m a songwriter in LA. I’m too dumb to be a bot 😂 If you wanna block people based on how many they follow, I’m not gonna stop ya, but I’d say just make sure the action is parallel to the cause, this parameter feels too unstable to ensure you’re blocking actual bots, no?
