I've had some peripheral contact with the local Unitarian congregation. I respect them immensely for being the kind of Christians I wish I could have been, but I'm decisively not Christian anymore and I do not think I would feel at home there.

I'm a Unitarian in Australia. Not Christian, a few of our congregants are. You do need to be able to deal with them and some Christian symbolism. I find it no trouble.
Athiest UU here. Very little, though some, exposure to Christianity in our small congregation. I'm decisively not Christian, either, but the folks at our UU are my tribe. Equality, social justice, open minds abound.
Unitarian Universalism has its roots in Protestant Christianity, but in the US is no longer a Christian religion. However we do have Christian UUs (as well as Humanists, Jewish UUs, Buddhist, Pagan, etc.) Non-creedal faith rooted in justice and living in community.
