I have always found her to be uncommonly interesting and beautiful, and I am not the least bit surprised by her frankness. It’s always appreciated when anyone with a platform normalizes hurdles and makes them a more open topic of discussion. ❤️
Second that. Since so many struggle to afford/access the kind of care that could catch something like this in time, this also seems like a powerful case for universal healthcare.
BTW, thanks for being a stubbornly fearless voice during dark times. So much for a "little training cruise," right?
My wife had this (found out when we started trying for kids) & we have three healthy kids now without the need for IVF, only the ovulation drugs for the first two (which were both instant hits).
I too have PCOS. I found out when I was 18 (now 44). Glad she was able to get eggs out. They’ve learned so much since I found out. I did not get the eggs out and no kids here. Always wanted them, but I’m an incredible aunt as an amazing plan b.
This is exactly why women's health needs to be assessed by qualified doctors not legislators, churches or politicians. It also show's that losing OBGYNs in droves since Roe was overturned, is going to send women's health back to the 1960s all over again.
Egg count and egg retrieval is NOT a treatment for PCOS. And doing an egg count is not how you dx PCOS. This article is BS and this woman needs a better doctor.

Listen to your body but don't despair :-)
Glad she figured it out, and it's incredibly generous to share something so personal.
