That's exactly it. When I give, it's to people who are worse off than me. If you make min wage, I will tip high. If you live on the street, I always carry cash to give you. If you had a nice house to lose, then I'm sorry for your loss, but you need to take it up with your insurance company, not me.

No there certainly isn't but I do use myself as an example in this way...I'm disabled and can only afford to eat one meal a day. Literally. I refuse to go to a food bank because although I need help I won't take food and maybe the person behind me is a parent with a kid. They need more than I do.

I've worked for a film producer, he had to remortgage his home to fund the project. The money that "stars" make go to paying their staff & equipment. TV/film projects don't come often, so the money made is spread out for the lean times. A lot of them have to have another job to survive

I think it’s super tacky. They will be ok and not end up in debt and on the street if zero dollars go to their fund.
