@jamestalarico.bsky.social should be out on the national stage more, but he's very, very, very busy in Texas. People should be watching and taking notes.
Interestingly, the Ten Commandments aren’t meant for non-Jewish people. To take them out of context is questionable at best. You don’t see Jews touting the importance of putting them everywhere. I think we should take the lead from those to whom it belongs.
I read the part about schools having to accept and display any privately donated posters that meet the size requirements. I think we should start printing huge posters of LGBQ+ people in full Pride Month mode holding the commandments and send them to Texas schools!
That's why you'd have someone holding them in the pic. Imagine a beautiful drag queen holding Moses's tables which are legible by an average sighted person from across the room!
When will the "conservative Christian" learn there is a reason for the separation of church and state. You want a church sponsored state, go to Iran. But let's go by the Bible, cheating on your husband, MTG, you get stoned to death. Don't force YOUR religious bullshit on me when you don't believe.
"Congress shall pass no law respecting an establishment of religion" seems pretty clear that our laws are NOT based on the 10 commandments and trying to remake America into a Christian theocracy is in direct contradiction of our actual judicial heritage
Taco has broken almost every one himself and has encouraged and coaxed others to break all ten. Posting them in every classroom is as disingenuous as it is divisive when you think adhere to the actual principles of religious freedom to worship as one wishes.
he should have pointed out that she was breaking the 9th commandment when she claimed the bill was about "honoring our legislative & judicial heritage." this country was not built on Christianity and this bill is purely about indoctrinating children.
Hypocrisy in politics??? Unheard of! Epic takedown of a ridiculous woman trying to defend an incorrect assertion—and failing miserably. James revealed her as the hypocrite she is…beautifully.
So, after looking at what the 10 commandments are, I can only presume that making the displaying them in a Texas classroom by law to be an ironical, Dadaesque, artistic statement.
I'll believe that POTUS and the Christian Nationalist are "Doing God's Work" when they stop breaking the Ten Commandments, actually follow Jesus's teachings and distribute their wealth to those in need. And I'm not talking about "acceptable" charities for tax breaks
Great job James! Unfortunately, she and her cohorts are adamant about justifying undoing the separation of church and state. It is a don't do as we do, do as we say. The posting of the Ten Commandments is only the beginning of enforcing their doctrine. Not sure what it is and where it will go!!
The group who worships money and the gospel of prosperity, should post nine commandments.
Then remove those other bits like bearing false witness and such.
When they’re done removing the rules that they themselves break, how many will be left?
“The Seventh commitment is ‘Thou shall not commit adultery.' Do you think members of the legislature should focus on the Ten Commandments rather than telling others to follow them?”
Good Job James! *Outrageous this kind of twisting of "our forefathers" intentions is occurring. Texas needs to fight back harder! (as do other states!)
If there is any Texas Representative more apalling than the woman in this photo..
Would welcome knowing who it could be....
Collin County (TX) growing faster than all of Texas & hopefully the "sleeping wave of voters" is about to awaken & unleash it's power against Trumpian surrogates like her
Rules that everyone ELSE has to obey because THEIR imaginary man in the sky says so. But not them. They’re already good little Christian’s so they can be pure evil and everything will be ok as long as they say sorry on Sundays….if they remember.

How about teaching the constitution or the UN charta or human rights??
And in violation of the separation of Church from State.
actually learn something. All are free from religion.
The Freedom of Religion means I'm not obliged to follow your religion.
1st Amendment is clear.
History she refuses to accept.
Nowhere in the Constitution does it mention:
God, Bible, 10 Commandments, Christian, or Jew.
