This game has some specials that are just kind of bullshit sometimes and its what makes them good and post patch slider is the first time I've had access to it and you can definitely feel the difference. Not saying its like zooka/strike tier (its not) but it has its moments where it just wins fights - ThreadSky

The only real major differences with the other BS specials is this one basically requires cooler to be truly stupid this is like by far the most dependent special on another one being active in the games history you almost always have to time it around that being active.

Also to be clear Bullshit/stupid and good are dif things (I've had booyah on sblast which is def good but not BS in any way even post patch) you can also have specials with some stupid things that are too shit for it to matter (Kraken) at a high level (krakens case in zones)

The only other thing I can think of that came close was late S2 armour/inkjet, but in that game you'd often just abuse high ground more to survive so you stay out of range cause there was no boost.

All the little buffs they kept giving it + ink trail buff all add up to a giant heaping pile of bullshit. Don't even bother playing my fave (slow) weps in solo q anymore and that and a few other specials are mostly why. Just not fun.

the trail buff is fine u have to line that up it feels rewarding, I think slider has a good bit of skill expression involved, but its still fun to me.

TBH I think the main issue is all the laggy people in solo q whose ink trails just pop out of nowhere and where a lot of the startup animation is cut off so you sometimes can't react properly (zooka has this too I believe?)

It, like most things in this game, is probably a lot more fair in LAN
