Nice to see floppy disks from back when they were actually floppy, before those cartridge-style 3.5"... (Though I suspect the ones I remember were probably largely 5".)

Fascinating to see 8 inch floppies after so long, it was all 5 inch and then 3.5 when i started my time in electronics assembly, even some older equipment had been upgraded to 5 inch.

Wow, good on you! If I recall correctly, the original fairlight used 8-in floppies. I remember seeing Art of Noise in the mid 80s and JJ would occasionally pop one out and pop another one in to the drive connected to the fairlight. Fascinating how times have changed.

Once asked a user to backup some diagnostics and send it in with a fault report (snail mail back then). So when I got the docket, it turned out that the user had ripped off the disk cover and stapled the inner plastic disk to the docket. Well, the instructions did say "remove disk from sleeve"....
