I’m not against extra pay for Christmas games. These front offices can afford it. That’s actually a great idea, just would have to figure out how to not make it a competitive advantage for the teams that play on Christmas every year.
I dont necessarily have a problem with Christmas games. Although I would not have watched them if it was on regular TV. I won't watch anything on streaming. But I also don't watch thurs or in this case wed games on principle that it's too short of a break between games
NBA TV ratings have nothing to do with the quality of games played yesterday. I think you may have misread the post. Regardless of TV ratings, NBA ticket sales, revenue, and social media interactions are at all times highs. The NBA has a product availability (streaming) issue.
This has already been discussed by all the experts and they concluded that the game is beyond boring now because everyone just launches 3 pointers and pretends to be Steph
All time high ticket sales and team revenues disagree. People love to watch and talk about the NBA. That's why we're talking about it right now. Because you care. People care.
The NFL season is mostly relevant bc of fantasy. Many “fans” care more abt their fantasy team than an actual NFL team. The NBA is full of personalities & storylines while the NFL is full of traumatic brain injuries. I love football, but it’s not without problems & the NBA is a quality product.
You can say whatever you want. Ratings don't lie. And yesterday all kinds of records of viewership were broken on the Netflix broadcast. This while the NBA is on a downward spiral. 82 games in 2024 is insane, people just can't commit to that. Look at the numbers it's Right there.
They play 82 games bc they can. You couldn’t do that in the NFL bc football would literally kill them. That said, I do agree if there were less games then each would feel more important. Nobody is saying this about baseball’s 162-game season of slow-paced low-energy games. Literal double standard.
I'd say the same about the NBA when the NFL is done and nobody has anything interesting to talk about. Non-stop "please pay attention to the same teams bouncing a ball for 2 1/2 hours and watching someone cry because they were brushed aggressively".
You’re all wrong. NFL and NBA should take a day off on Christmas Day and let
The REAL sport shine. Christmas is cold, snow, ice, brooms. CURLING rules!! (Right?)
Fuck this NFL has enough Christmas is NBAs day. Besides the chances of pre-schedule good games this late in the season are slim evident by both terrible games today. All the NBA games were really good.

We don’t need 24/7/365 coverage of football
Football oversaturation is real
