Thanks for bringing this up. As an educator I talk about this all the time. They teach almost all of their curriculum through a critical and media literacy lens!
We used to teach this. I wrote curriculum to teach this in elementary school. Then, test scores (Aka money) became the gold standard. Now, our kids struggle to just read.
