This would have bigger repercussions than people realize. Government docs would no longer be available in other languages. Private companies would no longer be encouraged to communicate in other languages. This would put people not fluent in English at a disadvantate... which is the point.

The only legislated language in the U.K. is Welsh and that is specific to Wales to save what was once a dying language
