I doubt it, IV nurses rarely use hand veins unless the are newbie’s. I’ve gotten weekly infusions for the last 8 years.

I used to get my keytruda (immunotherapy) every week for 2 years and they always used the top of my hand. And if the vein was difficult, it would leave a big bruise

Yeah. Sometimes pretty painful. Every week the they also did blood draws, so I’m guessing they wanted to make sure the arm veins were always available and not too damaged. To this day, for no reason, I still shave the tops of my hands 🫤
