I'm getting the feeling you have not read much about the civil rights movement. Do you think they fought every single battle? Do you think they never had to live to fight another day? These are your lives so you should be smart with your steps. That's all I'm saying.
Do you? There is choosing your fights and throwing people under the bus. Every civil rights battle that strips the humanity from a group is most important to *them*. Civil rights aren't won by retreat, and even if they were this was not the issue to retreat on.
I support trans rights not because trans people are nice, but because they're people and people fundamentally deserve rights. I don't know what the fuck your problem is.
