Why are there lower standards for elected officials than most other jobs? Someone explain how they are allowed to make the biggest decisions in the country, to make laws, when they wouldn't be allowed in the door of other employers?

The Ethics report is unsurprisingly damning. But Gaetz is from the great state of Florida, so one has to ask: will it adversely affect his political prospects in that state. This, Dear Reader, is highly doubtful.
