As a European I do not understand why Americans are not fighting back more ferociously against this fascist narcissistic felon. I saw protests once. If this happened here, our streets would be on fire. Really.

Take it as a warning; the regime controls all the media and most major institutions (law firms, universities etc have all buckled). People are ignorant, divided, leaderless. The democrats are probably compromised at many levels; we’re trying right fight back but it’s hard to see hope at times.
Most people - & Democratic legislators - truly did not think that anything like this could actually happen. We had grown complacent & took our Democracy for granted. Honest minds couldn't even have fathomed this scenario. The warnings of those of us who knew the danger fell on deaf ears.
Anti Black racism is how they got here. Anti Black racism is why "americans are not fighting back more ferociously." It is never more complicated than that when it comes to ANY element of us dysfunction: healthcare, school lunches, transportation, housing, gun control....
Many of the minorities that usually are the first out there are simply ✨not✨
Black people are tired and rightfully so. The immigrant community is now quiet too because now we know they're snatching us too so we gotta be smart. 1/2
Many of us have been in survival mode since Nov 4. Americans were so incredibly spoiled. We are used to someone solving shit for us. And individualistic AF for many reasons but really if it doesn't affect me is not issue. 2/3
Thank you friend! I feel at peace with certain things. Humans have migrated all over the world for our entire existence. My parents chose to come here and there's that and maybe I have to make the same choice. This might not be home forever And that's ok. We didn't survive this long by luck lol
The job tie is a reality.
I recently left my public facing job & started attending protests.
There are a lot of retirees involved because their (non) jobs aren’t in jeopardy.
I was happy to see young people, some still in HS.
There have been protests starting in February. I've personally attended three massive protests. The media just started covering them for the April 5th protest. There's another planned for April 19th followed by May 1st. We are not backing down!

We literally cannot afford to lose our jobs / become involved with the legal system. It’s a big deterrent.
We are fairly locked in to *peaceable* assembly… although people do light stuff on fire for sports 🤔
