This was written four years ago after the riot at the Capital. It has proven to be wrong. We were at the beginning of the chaos. We had a few years of calm but now the chaos is back and it's worse than before.
Many of us alive today will not live to see the end of the chaos.

While I appreciate much of this, I am struck by the absence of acknowledging Indigenous nations in this rendering of the “country of all the world” narrative.

No identity or project that is based on the erasure of others can lead to thriving for all.
