In St. Louis, so many turned out in pouring rain to stand in protest and the street was filled with cars honking and waving in solidarity -- absolutely glorious
I wonder whether the people who showed up at the protests felt that it was safe for them and how many more, that wanted to protest publicly, didn't feel safe? 🤔
Thank you for sharing the lin! I tried to get as close I could to the speakers but unfortunately they were inaudible. I wonder if the organizers need a donation of better amplification or if permits were not granted? I think only about 100 people were close enough to hear anything
IndivisibleSF and 50501 SF organized. They need either more funding or donated/lower rates for better systems. Pretty much they paid out of their own pockets (I volunteered the event so have some intel). And: lesson learned. They very much underestimated attendance.
