Not sure but I wonder if it's because he likes Ville better on the one side. He did give Ville some PK time sooo..small steps.

The only reason that happened was because Fleury was out and DeMelo was in the box. He looked good too but he won’t see PK time in the future based on how little faith the coaches show in him

Fleury goes down so the #NHLJets essentially forced to play 5 undersized D all about the same size 6-6’1” 180-190. Some of the best team metrics of the season resulted 👇 Pretty amazing actually. Maybe this team greatly overvalues its D who have size?

@evolving-hockey.com charted the Jets with a lot more high danger chances, and the Leafs with more peripheral shots. That's how it seemed to me watching the game.
