On March 2, 1955, Claudette Colvin was arrested at the age of 15 in Montgomery, Alabama. She refused to give up her bus seat to a White woman. Rosa Parks didn't start this civil rights revolution, but Claudette was young, darker skinned, poor and pregnant. The NAACP chose Rosa.
