-it doesn't have better of maps, in fact if you go through each mode it pretty much at best has 1 more "solid mapmode" than say, tower

do you think we liked shit like port rainmaker? no, but we played it anyways and even into the last months of s2 we played controversial mapmodes.

you mean the most fraudulent top level scene in non-JP history? one where our players just pickup/scrim with JP and barely play in
nah we just settle for sendouq (pickup culture) to play with pickups -> also do pickups for everything in general

breaking/winning the war of attrition is objectively a skill too
successfully getting stalled *consistently* is like #1 sign of being skill gapped by people that really like winning
but i think that believing stalling is an auto-win tactic is the first step to losing against stall
Rain is bad BC of rushing, + stages hinder ist biggest strangth. and tower is bad BC of special stupidity. But..
part of my argument is imo the reduction of mapmodes tried earlier in this game's life didn't teach people deeper coordination
they just learned the basics on how to play those maps and didn't go much further
ie. i don't think people actually are
