If the United States Government no longer flies the flag representing all 50 states, itβs a proclamation of Civil War from the inside, which makes their government unconstitutional.
50 stars would turn into a blur. The idea is to make a logo, not a replica.
BTW, the blue square is larger in proportion the rest of the design than appears on actual flags.

To mark the website as authentic, they added a border ontop with the flag image (us_flag_small.png) that is 16 x11 pixels.
