There are some $4-5 billion of frozen Russian assets in the U.S. and it will be up to President-elect Donald Trump to decide what to do with them when he takes office in January 2025.

Just bide your time. What happens when you put two narcissistic psychos with delusions of God like status in a room together. Once captain T realises he's been taken for a mug all hell will break loose. Pretty scary actually. Who in their right minds put these guys in charge.
If Trump releases those funds to Russia, the EU needs to cut the US off completely and sanction the hell out of us. Switch oil sales to the euro and utterly eff the U.S. economy in retaliation. Seriously. As an American, I'm all for that.
I wish Pres. Biden would give those assets to Ukraine! Why won't he help our allies instead of waiting for Trump to give the assets back to his Daddy Vladdy?
OK, I'm no expert. Maybe this is something our President couldn't do. It's just another frustration in a never-ending stream of frustrations.
The US took a $20 billion dollar loan, USING THE FROZEN RUSSIA ASSETS. As COLLATERAL. The Russian money IS NOT BEING USED, it’s FROM THE LOAN. it’s the loan that’s being doled out to Ukraine. The EU and other countries took out a $30 billion LOAN using RUSSIAN ASSETS as collateral. Don’t you know???
I'm not sure trump has the authority to release them unilaterally. "Congress, not the President, has the power under the Constitution to regulate international commerce."
#POTUS #JanetYellen should have SOLD OFF all frozen Russian assets in U.S. long ago and given that $ to Ukraine. Now Trump will release them back to Putin! ANOTHER FAILURE OF BIDEN ADMIN.

If Russia wants their assets unfrozen, they must give the US something substantial in return.
Supported by the red state voters.
