It was down from like 120 million btu's to 15ish million btu's so, it was largely already stopped for most of europe. This was just shutting down the last notch on the spigot.

Also, Ukraine was being paid by Russia for the transit fees, believe it or not, nations continue to operate normally in war

I agree. But the problem was NATO forcing them to by withholding weapons and aid if they didn’t. NATO countries need to make sure they are comfortable at the expense of Ukrainian blood. 🤮

I’m guessing European countries asked Ukraine to keep it open so they can switch suppliers.

Basically bought three years to adjust their economy at the cost of Ukrainian blood while still paying Russia for the energy.

What will they do if Russia shows up at their door step?
