Today marks the 10th anniversary of the assassination of Boris Nemtsov, one of Vladimir Putin's staunchest critics who was shot just outside the walls of the Kremlin on Feb. 27, 2015.

Since he came to power in 1999, more than 20 Putin critics have been killed or died mysteriously.
